Dorset People First is a charity, number 1106963, that was set up in 2004 led by people who have learning difficulties.  See our listing on the Charity Commission website   We work across Dorset, Poole and Bournemouth.  Projects include The Forum, Just Say, Total Communication and the Friendship.Club.  We have Trustees and a Management Committee who guide and support us.

Dorset People First is for all people who have learning difficulties in Dorset.  Membership is free.  Members are invited to our events, take part in consultation, get newsletters and are encouraged to speak up about things that are important to them.

Our members helped to write a “Bill of Rights” in 2004 and this describes the things we believe in.
